Almost to the end

It's a quiet Sunday morning. I just came back from walking the dog, which I love doing in the mornings during summer, when it's light and bright but not too hot yet. So lovely.

Today I hope to finish a book. I have a chapter or two to go, I'm not quite sure yet, but I hope to finish soon! It's a first draft, so I need to read back through it and do some revisions before I send it on to my editor, but YAY! Another book! I can't share details quite yet, but I don't think it will be too long before I can.

I'm probably procrastinating for a moment here because the emotional climax of the story is about to happen. It's the point the story has been moving toward, the part the character(s) have been working for, and on the one hand, it's fun to write, because finally, FINALLY you've made it to this point. But on the other hand, it is also where you have to dig deep and find the crucial emotional truth and convey it in the best way possible for the story. It is not easy!

But it's time. And I know it will be so good to have this book finished so I can play with other stories, get in more reading-in-the-sun time, and just...breathe a little easier.

So, here I go...

Have a great week!
